November in the Allotment Garden

It’s time for another look at what’s growing in the allotment vegetable garden. Every month I take you on a tour around the veg patch to see what’s growing, to talk about the projects and tasks that need doing, and this time to look at other people’s plots.

It’s been a while since we had a walk around the site and I think you’ll be surprised at just how much food is still growing. Purple sprouting broccoli, cabbage, kale, spinach, chard, beet root, leeks, and so much more.

Who says that vegetable gardening stops in the cold season?

Questions for you:

— Do you plant your onions in the autumn, winter, or spring and why?

— Has it snowed yet in your garden? Have you had your first frost?
