Creating and Resurfacing Wood Chip Garden Paths

Two years ago I made one of the best decisions ever — to cover my pathways with landscaping fabric and wood chips. Not only does it create a non-slip walkway in my garden but it’s stopped perennial weeds from springing up. It’s saved me SO MUCH TIME. Pre-wood chips I had to weed not only my beds but the pathways too.

I’ve done very little maintenance since then so it’s time for some fresh wood chips. With a fresh delivery at the allotment I used a sunny winter afternoon to resurface the paths. It only took a couple of hours but the effect is stunning.

See the before and after of my wood chip garden paths and see how you too can create your own. I give tips on how I first created my paths and show how I spread new wood chips on.
