Work Begins in the NEW Allotment Garden

First things first — the frog spawn froze last week. I’m absolutely devastated and it’s the first thing we look at before getting to work.

You’ll know from a previous video that I’ve recently taken on a new plot at our allotment garden ( https://youtu.be/0B1Pia1i8Iw ). It’s conveniently located next to my current plot but does need a lot of work! Think overgrown weeds, grass, and berry bushes. I also discover that it has bindweed.

This week I’ve finally begun working on this extra bit of growing space. Not only that but I’ve got someone to help as well. Friend Jim Callister who has an Isle of Man based gardening service — Find it here: http://bit.ly/2p1Ej61 — is lending me a few hours of his time to help with a garden transformation.

In this video we tidy up a good part of my new allotment plot. Taking about 3.5 hours, one bed is cleared and the soft-fruit bushes on it pruned in time for spring.
