Sowing the First Seeds + Seed Swap Preparation

It’s been very cold over the past weeks and I’ve held off sowing seeds. I’m just not convinced that it will warm up that quickly and don’t want to make the mistake of jumping the gun. Seeds sown a little later can catch up but if you sow too early, you might have leggy plants on your hands by the time you’re able to plant them out.

Today I start off by going through my seed collection and deciding which ones I’m keeping for this year and which ones I’m giving away. Tomorrow is the annual Seed & Plant Share and it’s an opportunity to give my unwanted seeds to those who’d like to grow them. It’s also a chance to see if there’s any that catch my eye too!

In this video:

✽ I organize my seeds
✽ Tell you a little about the annual Seed & Plant Share
✽ Sow Sweet Peas
✽ Sow cut-and-come-again lettuce
✽ Sow both Roman and German Chamomile
