The best way to ensure you get the biggest pumpkins possible! This is how I always plant my pumpkin plants and I get a really good crop year on year. This focusses on creating a direct route for water to travel to the roots making it as efficient as possible.

Growing pumpkins is one of the most exciting to grow on the allotment and is a real favourite at Halloween.

Last year I bought the medium-sized Vegepod for my container garden and am so impressed with it that I’m sharing how it all works. This planter has a hidden water reservoir that helps keep the compost/potting mix inside moister for longer. That makes it great for those in arid climates, and for if you’d like to water less or have a trip coming up. It’s also deep enough to grow most types of veg and comes with a summer and winter cover for crop protection.

Terrace Garden Update: I managed my Organic Terrace Garden on my own with limited resources I had. We have been on lockdown for the past 4 weeks. But it was fun with weeding, preparing soil, sowing seeds – yes a lot of hardwork under the sun and few DIY wherever possible.
