These went in along the north property line, to provide an evergreen hedge here in my climate, giving me privacy and a “fruit wall” that should do quite well!

I selected varieties that I wanted, on rootstock that provided beneficial qualities given the somewhat clay soil that I have. I didn’t care too much about dwarf or standard, because I will be pruning actively even throughout the summer to keep these trees sculpted to no more than 8 ft tall.

These were planted 4 ft apart on center, which is quite close but again with active pruning I will have less fruit from more varieties over a longer period of time, which is exactly what I want as a home orchard grower!
