There are a few simple, yet very important chores you can do right now in your garden to ensure that you have a great start to the next growing season. Removing summer annuals, trimming perennial foliage, removing or dividing perennials that have outgrown their space, laying down a nice blanket of compost, and then topping the entire area with a nice thick layer of mulch will all ensure that you have a happy and healthy garden come next Spring. Join me as I prepare my shade garden for the upcoming winter months and walk you through the process.

Houseplant propagation can be tricky, especially when you spend so much time rooting your water propagations, only to transplant and have them die off in a week or so. So deflating! Here’s my foolproof method for successful transplanting. It’s worked for me every time.
