Propagating hibiscus, whether tropical hibiscus or hardy hibiscus, can be done in the home garden and both varieties of hibiscus are propagated in the same way. Hardy hibiscus is easier to propagate than the tropical hibiscus, but never fear; with a little bit of knowledge about how to propagate hibiscus, you can be successful at growing either kind.
Daizz’s tips:-
The hibiscus cutting should be 4 to 6 inches long. Remove everything but the top set of leaves. Trim the bottom of the hibiscus cutting to be cut just below the bottom leaf node (bump where the leaf was growing). Dip the bottom of the hibiscus cutting in rooting hormone. The next step for propagating hibiscus from cuttings is to place the hibiscus cutting in well draining soil. Make sure the rooting soil is thoroughly wet, then stick a finger into the rooting soil. Place the hibiscus cutting into the hole and back fill it around the hibiscus cutting.Place the hibiscus cutting in partial shade. Make sure the rooting soil stays damp (not wet) until the hibiscus cuttings are rooted. The cuttings should be rooted in about 4-6 weeks. Once they are rooted, you can re pot them in a bigger pot.

I’ve been a busy bee these past few weeks and haven’t been out to visit my colonies. This is my first inspection of Primrose and Bluebell in a few weeks and a chance to bring the honeybees more frames to build on. It’s also an opportunity see if there’s any honey to extract.

Peace lilies are one of the most common houseplants because they are so easy to grow. Most household varieties grow up to 16 inches tall, but larger cultivars can reach 6 feet in height.
Peace lilies produce white flowers in the early summer and continue to bloom throughout the year
DAIZZ’S TIPS:-
PLANTING
Plant with an all-purpose potting soil and keep it lightly moist throughout the year.
Repotting annually in the spring is good for the lily because it will need refreshed soil.
CARE
Keep the soil moist at all times, but do not overwater.
During the winter, fertilize every 6 weeks or so.
Peace lilies enjoy a warmer environment, so keep them in temperatures above 60°F.
Keep out of direct sunlight, but in a well-lit area.
If no flowers are appearing, the plant may not be getting enough light.
PESTS/DISEASES
Brown leaf tips are common with excessive light, over fertilization, or lack of water and/or low humidity. Keeping the plant on a tray of moistened gravel can help increase humidity.
RECOMMENDED VARIETIES
Spathiphyllum wallisii is a smaller peace lily, reaching only 12 inches tall. ‘Petite’ is smaller still, at approximately 8–10 inches.
‘Sensation’ is the largest variety available, often growing up to 4–6 feet in height and width.
Medium-sized varieties include ‘Domino’, which has attractively variegated leaves, and ‘Mojo Lime’, which produces lime-green foliage.
WIT & WISDOM
In NASA studies, it was discovered that peace lilies can help improve air quality, removing formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the surrounding air.

Don’t throw those banana peels away, put them at the bottom of your Spathiphyllums / peace lily’s / lipstick plants and watch them flower.
DAIZZ’S TIPS:-
Many gardeners swear by the effect banana peels have on their flowering plants, particularly roses and peace lilies. Conventional wisdom is that the potassium in the peels — they are 42 percent potassium, a much higher level than most other substances — prompts better blooming. While potassium is one of three primary nutrients plants need to grow, its function is to facilitate the movement of water and nutrients between cells. It also strengthens stems and protects plants from disease with little direct impact on flowering. Because healthier plants produce more blooms, feeding them with banana peels can’t hurt. When plants are already in bud, you want to make the nutrients in banana peels immediately available in liquid form.

Bananas are well known for their potassium content, helping you stay healthy and get the nutrients you need. This is also true for the peels, which provide essential nutrients, including potassium, to plants when the peels begin to decompose.
Banana peels contain nutrients that are essential for healthy potted plants. As they decompose, banana peels add potassium as well as small amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and magnesium to the soil in a similar fashion as a slow-release fertilizer.

GROW MINT AT HOME VERY EASILY WITH FEW SIMPLE TIPS…:)
Mint is easy to grow and hard to kill — which makes it one of the best plants for a beginning gardener! You can buy a plant at the store or grow your own from cuttings.

Peppermint, spearmint, chocolate mint, pineapple mint… there are so many types of mint in the world! As a refreshing glass of cold tea, as a condiment in Middle Eastern and Thai dishes, in ice cream, mint is a worldwide favorite. It’s especially known for its soothing effect on the stomach.
Since mint is a very fast-growing plant, it’s a good idea to keep it in a pot or some sort of container with boundaries so it doesn’t take over your garden or yard.
DAIZZ’S TIPS:-
Method 1
Cut the stem just below a node (where a leaf grows) on the plant. Remove all but the top leaves. Stick a few cuttings into a small pot with moist soil. Keep out of direct sunlight for about a week to allow it to root and adjust to its new environment. As the mint grows, replant in a larger pot or in the ground.

Method 2
Cut the mint stem just below a node (where a leaf grows) on the plant. Remove all but the top leaves. Stick a few cuttings into a glass jar with about one inch of water. Keep out of direct sunlight and change the water everyday. In approximately one week, roots will begin to grow. Replant the mint in a small pot with moist soil. As the mint grows, replant in a larger pot or in the ground.

They need little maintenance and make colorful, hearty houseplants. Cactus plants come in a number of varieties and shapes. Some have striking blooms.
